One mission statement that our church, International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has come to be known for, is “Practical Christianity, Human dignity and Excellence”. This statement goes beyond just a regular catchphrase; it carries a depth in meaning and relevance to Christians of all ages everywhere. The mandate given to us as people of God to emanate Christ, show Him forth and have our very lives be a testament of who God is, is one that we often hope for, but seldom live out. In this post, we will try to break down one aspect of our lives through which we can allow God to showcase Himself: Our professional life or career path.  Stop Flirting with the Devil. You know how it is when a new year begins and you start writing out all your new year resolutions with full vim. Although we both know it's probably the same thing you keep writing year after year but let's leave that for another day. So this year, "with my full chest", I was writing out my new year resolutions  and I always start off with my spiritual growth. So I began by scheduling fasting days, increasing the number of hours for my quiet time etc and then I was like “oh I don't have enough time in a day”. Then the Holy Spirit whispered "If you stopped flirting with the devil, you would have more than enough time". I was like "What? Flirting with the devil? How am I flirting with the devil?" So I felt led to go check out my data usage for the apps on my phone and to say I was shocked is an understatement. They say time flies when you're having fun. You know where the fun was last year? Not here! But time did fly past real fast. I would have offered an apology but you already heard that in the last post **looks away shamefully**... So now that our inconsistency is out in the open, should we just move on like nothing happened or should we do the whole profuse apology thing? **awkward moment of silence*** ANYWAY, WELCOME TO 2022!
